During the Supermoon of 2018, a commercial aircraft crossed the lunar surface at precisely the right instant, silhouetted against the Moon's illuminated disk. Unaware of the capture at the time, the aircraft's passage was only later discovered during image review, revealing a moment that lasted less than a fraction of a second. Crossing the Silent Disc depicts this unexpectedintersection of human movement and celestial scale, where everyday travel briefly intersects the vastness of space in an unrepeatable moment.
Each print is produced locally in Michigan in collaboration with a professional fine art printer using archival materials to ensure exceptional detail, depth and longevity. Available on premium metallic paper for enhanced luminosity, or as a museum quality ready-to-hang metal print. An optional CODA float mount provides a clean, frameless display that allows the artwork to visually float off the wall.
