M45 - The Pleiades

Visible to the naked eye from nearly every inhabited part of the Earth, the Pleaides have captivated human imagination for millennia. Known as the Seven Sisters, this star cluster, located about 440 light years from earth, appears in the myths, calendars and navigation traditions of cultures across the globe, from ancient Greece to Japan.

In Japanese tradition, the cluster is called Subaru, a name meaning "to unite" - a fitting description of the tightly bound stars emerging from their veil of interstellar dust. That same name endures today as a modern symbol, echoing humanities long-standing connection to the night sky.

This image reveals the Pleiades not as isolated points of light but as stars moving through delicate nebulosity, which appears blue due light from the hot young stars. Captured through long integration, it presents a familiar celestial landmark with renewed depth- timeless luminous and profoundly human.

Printed on premium, fine art metallic paper for exceptional depth and luminosity. Available unmounted, an optional Coda float mount, or as a ready-to-hang metal print.

Materials and Presentation

Each image is available in multiple premium presentation options, carefully selected to complement astrophotography and fine-art display.

Metallic Paper Print

A high-gloss metallic paper that enhances depth, contrast, and luminosity—particularly striking for astrophotography, where fine detail and subtle gradients matter most.

Optional CODA Float Mount

The photograph is professionally adhered to a ½″ thick black gatorfoam backing, creating a clean, frameless presentation. When hung, the artwork floats slightly off the wall, offering a modern, gallery-style look. Lightweight, elegant, and ready to hang.

Metal Print – Ready to Hang

Dye-sublimated directly onto aluminum for exceptional sharpness, depth, and durability. The image is infused into the metal surface rather than printed on top, resulting in a sleek, contemporary look that arrives fully finished and ready to display.

*All prints are produced using archival inks and professional laboratory process to ensure longevity and color fidelity.

Edition Information

This image is offered as a fine art photographic print. Limited editions, where applicable, are produced in small numbered runs and signed by the artist. Open editions are produced without edition limits and are unsigned unless otherwise noted.
